Yitz Berman is about to turn thirteen. He’s also about to fly a real airplane. What a bar mitzvah present!

Soon Yitz, his parents, sister Rivky, and flight instructor, Mr. Creed, are literally floating on air, soaring over the ground thousands of feet below.

But they quickly discover that it’s not all clear skies and friendly cloudbanks. Strange lights and sounds appear, knocking their plane out of the sky and forcing them to make an emergency landing in the middle of nowhere.
