Rabbi Paysach Krohn - [The Torah of Brisk - Volume 2 - Sefer Shemos](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/the-torah-of-brisk-volume-2-sefer-shemos/): The Torah of Brisk on the weekly Parashah is a treasure-chest of concise and brilliant insights, gleaned from the holy legacy of the rabbanim of the Brisker Dynasty, renowned for their genius in Torah. These Torah jewels are culled from the five-volume Hebrew series, Shai LaTorah, first fruits of the prolific talmid chacham, Rabbi Shimon Yosef Meller shlita, of Jerusalem, author of many works on the House of Brisk. Since its first printing two decades ago, Shai LaTorah has gained worldwide fame. Torah scholars and laymen, young and old alike, will be delighted by the thought-provoking observations, parables, and true stories in The Torah of Brisk. With a brief perusal the reader will find just the right “vort” for any occasion among the sparkling gems of thought in these sefarim. The sefarim draw much of their material from the Chumash shiurim of Rav Meshullam Dovid HaLevi Soloveitchik zt”l, head of Yeshivas Brisk in Jerusalem and son of the illustrious Brisker Rav, Rav Yitzchak Zev HaLevi Soloveitchik zt”l. In response to overwhelming demand, these marvelous sefarim are now being made available in English, offering a taste of the matchless “Brisker learning style” to those who, until now, have been unable to savor its delights. - [The Maybe Last Year](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/the-maybe-last-year/): What would you do if this year was your last? With the publication of this twenty-second volume, Shabbos in the Parshah, a new light emerges. Unlike previous volumes that closely follow specific ma'amarim from the Nesivos Sholom, this sefer offers brief yet powerful reflections that uncover the connection between the weekly parshah and the holiness of Shabbos — as illuminated by the Rebbe's thought. These insights are not mere intellectual exercises. They are spiritual signposts, rooted in the timeless words: ביני ובין בני ישראל אות הוא לעולם - Between Me and Bnei Yisroel it is an eternal sign. Shabbos is more than rest; it is our covenant, a weekly reunion with Hashem. Drawing from themes found throughout Chumash and enriched by the soul-stirring language of the Nesivos Sholom, this volume reveals how Shabbos serves as a source of blessing — ויברך אלקים את יום השביעי — and a channel for spiritual rejuvenation. With each page, the reader is invited to rediscover Shabbos not only as a halachic observance, but as a wellspring of Divine intimacy, serenity, and boundless joy. These divrei Torah are meant to be revisited and relived, echoing the words of Chazal: כל המענג את השבת נותנים לו נחלה בלי מצרים - one who delights in Shabbos is granted a limitless inheritance. Through uplifting insights and accessible language, Shabbos in the Parshah brings the warmth of Shabbos into your week, guiding you toward a deeper connection, spiritual serenity, and lasting inner joy. As this book illustrates, nearly everything we’ve learned about the story of Chanukah, and what it means to us as Jews, is at best only a small part of a far greater story. • What actually occurred in the times of the Maccabim? What is Chanukah meant to celebrate? • Which credible sources do we have for understanding what happened? • Was Matisyahu actually a Kohen Gadol? Where did he live? • How did the Chashmonai uprising begin? • How long after the famous nes did Chazal institute the holiday of Chanukah? • Is there a credible source for the minhag of playing dreidel? • Who were Chana and her seven sons? Was her name really Chana? In Triumph of Light, the history of the Chanukah miracle and the Chashmonai rebellion is explored and related in meticulous detail, based on original sources. Carefully researched, eminently readable, and placed in a larger context of Talmudic and political backgrounds, this work brings to light a wealth of material from both ancient and modern sources, all woven into a clear narrative. Prepare to be astonished by the Chanukah story you thought you knew… - [The Unfinished Diary](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/the-unfinished-diary-2/): "A RARE TREASURE EMERGES IN HOLOCAUST LITERATURE" One of the only known wartime diaries written by an Orthodox Jew This diary was crafted as a memoir, complete with chapter titles and a table of contents, by its author, a gifted writer and brilliant Talmudic scholar, while in hiding during the years 1942-1944. The events, recorded as the war unfolded, spring off the page with immediacy, urgency, and poignancy. The author's extraordinary eyewitness account comes to an abrupt end, as he was murdered only months before liberation. Saved from destruction, the diary lay untouched in a drawer for many years. Now, more than seventy years later, after undergoing painstaking transcription, translation, and research, the diary is finally being brought to light. The diary/memoir of Chaim Yitzchok Wolgelernter depicts the resilience and spiritual resistance of Jews during the Holocaust, as well as the attitudes and actions of the Poles, ranging from Righteous Gentiles to those who collaborated with the Nazis. Includes a fascinating postscript of the Wolgelernter family's ultimate discovery of the unmarked grave of their father and other murdered relatives and the re-interment of the remains in Israel. Though the author perished, his diary lives on... - [Kid Stories #3](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/kid-stories-3/): Tales of Tzaddikim for Kids Stories with illustrations for young readers When little Dovid comes home from yeshivah, he asks Mommy which book he should read. Likewise, the inclination of a child is in proportion to his strength and grows together with him. In light of this, it is clear that every person has the ability to overcome his inclination because he is only given that which he can withstand and endure. B’Hatzlacha to all of us in the war against the evil inclination! - [Picture This](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/picture-this/): “Estee, what are you doing?!” “What do you mean? Yonah’s lip curled; she’d never seen him look so cold before. “Are you? You are going back to Lakewood. Did you forget something? Maybe a husband? Since when do we make decisions alone?” During their engagement, Yonah and Estee Rosen were the poster chassan and kallah. They’d enjoyed each other’s company so much, and had marveled at how in sync they were with one another. Why is it, then, that when sheva brachos are over and married life begins in earnest, misunderstandings and hurt feelings seem to abound faster than the flash of Estee’s expensive camera? Dovid and Golda Rosen have been helping the world for the past forty-plus years. Now that they’ve married off their youngest, Golda feels that it’s time to move on and reel in some peace, quiet, and alone time. She’s also never moved away from her family before, leaving them all behind in vibrant, colorful India, so she could go live in London, with grandparents she hardly knows. That’s when she finds a mysterious letter buried in her mother’s childhood bedroom, which suddenly raises more questions than answers… Will Ashira ever adjust to her new life and become a part of the girls that she just can’t relate to? In Sefer Hamevarech Yisbarech, Harav Schechter opens up the world of mei’ah brachos and explains the sublime nature of this mitzvah, why it is the cornerstone of a Jew’s avodas Hashem, and how it can serve to bring a wellspring of blessings into one’s life. Sefer Hamevarech Yisbarech also explains the segulah inherent in the worthy practice of reciting Pesukei Bitachon, and includes Harav Schechter’s personal listing of Pesukei Bitachon, together with their translations. Sefer Habinah Vehabrachah, by Rabbi Zev Epstein, contains an introductory chapter from the teachings of Harav Hagaon Rav Elya Ber Wachtfogel shlita, Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivah Gedolah Zichron Moshe (South Fallsburg, NY). In this sefer, Rabbi Epstein opens up the sugya of mei’ah brachos — from the Gemara through the Rishonim, to the Shulchan Aruch and poskim — and also chronicles the history of the practice of mei’ah brachos — from the time of the Avos, down to Moshe Rabbeinu and Dovid Hamelech, and, finally, to the Anshei Knesses Hagedolah. In addition, Sefer Habinah Vehabrachah includes a Summary of Laws of Mei’ah Brachos in English, which was reviewed by Harav Yisroel Shlomowitz shlita, Dayan of Yeshivah Gedolah Zichron Moshe. - [The Architect: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building One’s Self](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/the-architect-a-step-by-step-guide-to-building-ones-self/): Have you ever thought of becoming an architect? An old fisherman sits in his room, black smoke from his pipe rises in the air. Why isn’t Omberto writing to me? he tortures himself. It isn’t like him to worry me like this. In a moment of resolve, he jumps into his famous gondola and sails toward the open sea. The seat next to him is empty. There were times when Omberto, the boy he loved so much, sat there. Where is he now? Where is the orphaned boy with no one to look out for him? What has become of him? Who is Giovanni, the old Italian fisherman who cares so much for Moshe Chaim? And how did he end up in the distant olive grove? Why does the person who pretends to be the kibbutz’s secretary worry about Moshiko, the orphaned boy, and burden him with difficult work? When she lowered her eyes to me, they showed amazement, as if she was saying, “How did you grow so suddenly? And how have you remained a child?” “There are no children in Soweto,” Mom once told me. “Someone whose life hangs by a thread is not a child. There is no such creature.” I remember feeling then that all of my good years had been stolen from that unknown boy who was thrown into jail, from all the children who are no longer children. Before the work began, he needed to pay the contractor a two-million-shekel down payment in cash. He had no idea where to get so much money, so he went off to do hisbodedus and to beg He Who owns everything for help. As he stood and cried, Rav Asher suddenly changed his tune. Instead of pleading, he thought: I don’t need to bring the money today; it’s only due in three days. So why am I anxious today? If I had the money today, I’d deposit it in the bank. Don’t I trust that Hashem’s bank operates at least as reliably as mine? When I need the money, He’ll give it to me. “Ribono Shel Olam,” Rav Asher cried out with all his heart, “I want to rely on You! Strengthen me with complete bitachon!” He stopped davening for two million shekels and davened for something far more precious instead. He davened for bitachon. For Hashem to strengthen him and instill within him the unwavering feeling that he could rely fully upon His chessed. And he davened that way for hours. Needless to say, the day that the money was due, the full amount miraculously arrived. The story gave Rav Reiner tremendous chizuk. Shabbos, our source of blessing, passed with him feeling tremendously spiritually uplifted. And his own wondrous bitachon story soon followed… 102: The Gematria of Emunah Rabbi Tzvi Nakar, is a contemporary maggid and the author of Emunah Shleimah—Bar Mitzvah and Tefillin, Meant To Be, and 24/7. In Landscape Girl, Ruti Kepler brings us into the neat, orderly world of the Froman family and their daughter, Libby, who is anything but. How is it that you know how to give such devoted love, yet don't know how to give the children a slightly more elevated role model? You want so badly to make me happy. It's not nice to compare, but the only word for my mother is "radiant" when she gives a mock sigh and says, "Even if I'd put sugar into the chicken soup instead of salt, Tatty wouldn't notice." Tatty never tried to make Mommy happy the way you're trying to make me happy, and Tatty—without all the great effort you're putting in—was much more successful. Generation after generation was inspired by the love for Eretz Yisroel, and Jews were sustained through the bitter years of golus by a firm emunah that our suffering will ultimately end with the return to Tzion. This core of emunah has become much more complicated in these last periods of golus… As in all generations, we have been blessed with gedolim who provided guidance and clarity, even in the darkest of times. This author had the privilege to hear many discussions about these topics, and never ceased to marvel at the ability of our leaders to shed light on what seemed to be the most confusing and complex situations. RABBI BENTZION KOKIS serves as a Mashgiach Ruchani in Beis Medrash Govoha of Lakewood. He also was the mora d’asra of Khal Zichron Mordechai in Monsey, New York, for over two decades. His years of learning in Yeshivas Be’er Yaakov in Eretz Yisroel were an opportunity to absorb the teachings of the Mashgiach, Harav Shlomo Wolbe ztz”l, one of the pre-eminent masters of mussar of our generation. It is those lessons that are expressed in these pages, and that illuminate a pathway through the complexities that are so typical of our age. - [The Legacy of the Kopyczynitzer Rebbe](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/the-legacy-of-the-kopyczynitzer-rebbe/): Firsthand accounts of the lives he transformed and the enduring impact of his selfless acts of chessed Jews from all walks of life share personal stories about the Rebbe who transformed their lives. Their memories will make you gasp in awe, bring you to tears, and warm your heart. Fifty years have passed since the Rebbe was torn away from this world at the age of 47, only six and a half years after he succeeded his father as the Kopyczynitzer Rebbe, yet their memories of his selfless acts remain engraved in their hearts. Chassidim twice his age, who had known his grandfather and great-grandfather, revered him. Leading Rabbanim turned to him for guidance. Yet he focused on being there for those who had no one else and took up causes that others found too daunting to touch. In this book, protagonists and eyewitnesses describe the mesiras nefesh, boundless love and unlimited patience with which he accomplished his myriad acts of chessed. These include how the Rebbe extricated teenagers from a life of crime, came to the aid of an anguished agunah and rescued her kidnapped children, and repaired marriages thought to be unsalvageable. Half a century after his petirah, he continues to be a source of inspiration and chizuk. - [Wavelengths](https://tfutzapublications.com/product/wavelengths/): The figure follows me, a haunting smile on her face, one that sends shivers spinning up my spine. She is a different person than her husband, yet she is fundamentally part of his very being. She was part of Kabbalas HaTorah at Har Sinai, yet she is not obligated in many mitzvos. She earns reward in Olam Haba as though she learned Torah lishmah, yet she has no obligation to learn Torah. How are we to understand all of this? In The Foundation of the Home, these apparent contradictions are explored and explained, in context with discussing the significance, uniqueness, and beauty of the Jewish woman's role. • What is the partnership of the man and woman in the mitzvah of limud haTorah, and how does she fulfill it? • What is the yetzer hara that fights specifically against the Jewish woman? • How does the Jewish woman's role affect her, her family, Klal Yisrael...and even the Shechinah itself? • Why does tznius merit such great reward, and is it only for women? • What does it mean that the nashim tzidkaniyos will bring the Geulah? This book is a must-read for every woman, and eye-opening for men as well. The subjects discussed within are from the underlying foundations of Klal Yisrael's existence and survival throughout the generations. It will enlighten and inspire, and will reveal the true Foundation of the Home. Thanks to the holy Chafetz Chaim zt”l and his famous sefarim, Chafetz Chaim and Shemiras Halashon, much awareness has been brought to these two forms of forbidden speech. But did you know that the Chafetz Chaim enumerates eight other categories of the most common types of forbidden speech, besides for lashon hara and rechilus? They are: ona’as devarim, ka’as, ga’avah, halbanas panim, chanufah, sheker, machlokes, and leitzanus. These ten categories were coined by the Chafetz Chaim as the “Asarah Devarim,” and expounded upon in a special section of his sefer Chovas Hashemirah. According to the Chafetz Chaim, shemiras halashon requires us to guard our tongues from all of the Asarah Devarim. How, though, can one protect himself from these issurim if he does not know enough about them? It is for this reason that the Chafetz Chaim exhorts Klal Yisrael, in his many writings, to learn the Asarah Devarim properly. In this important sefer, a compilation and translation of the Chafetz Chaim’s own words, readers will learn in depth about all of the Asarah Devarim: their parameters and details, practical ways of avoiding them, and loads of chizuk in these areas. ******* It is worthy and proper for every G-d-fearing Jew to study these subjects of the Asarah Devarim, as the Chafetz Chaim himself wrote about them in his sefarim. — Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky shlit”a I believe this is a highly worthwhile project which will be of immense value for the Torah community. — Harav Aharon Feldman shlit”a It is obvious that to be mechazek Klal Yisrael in…the serious mitzvos associated with speech is an extremely beneficial and important undertaking. — Harav Reuven Feinstein shlit”a We must study and review these [Asarah Devarim] until we will merit to observe them…. There is a connection between Eishes Chayil and Shabbos Kodesh. There are those who think that after the mother has worked so hard to prepare Shabbos, she deserves a song of appreciation, but this is not the reason. We see that in yeshivos and in hotels they also sing this song, even though the chef prepared the meals. The connection is much deeper than that. A mother is emunah. In lashon hakodesh, great significance is ascribed to the two first letters of the root of a word. The root of the word אמונה, faith, begins with אם, a mother. Shabbos, too, is the day of faith. The day of Shabbos is the source of all abundance. We have income for all seven days of the week from Shabbos, because Shabbos is the source of blessing. When a Yid inculcates in his heart the recognition that everything comes from the Creator, he merits shefa and brachah from the Ribono Shel Olam. The woman is similar to Shabbos. She is pure, burning faith. She is the internal tie to Hakodosh Baruch Hu. Just as Shabbos protects us and is the source of all blessing, so does the Eishes Chayil protect her family and bring blessing to her home. ************** Whether she was giving lectures for the Shalheves organization, teaching eager groups of women in private settings, or counseling individuals, Rebbetzin Yitty Neustadt a”h devoted her life to teaching women worldwide how to become an Eishes Chayil and reap the benefits in both worlds. "May I speak to the rav?" "No, he's in shul. Who is this?" "It doesn't matter. Just tell him that the last one got engaged. Bye." Strange. When Rav Galinsky returns home from shul, they give him the message and he's overjoyed, praising and thanking HaKadosh Baruch Hu for bringing this about. Then he explains. The previous winter he had traveled to America to fundraise. He spent Purim in Lakewood and celebrated the Purim seudah Novardok-style: replete with poignant singing and words of mussar and beautiful ideas mined from the megillah. Then five bachurim showed up asking for a berachah: they were single and were hoping to get engaged that year. "I'm not a tzaddik to whom one would go to seek berachos," Rav Galinsky told them, "but I'm here raising funds for several Torah institutions in Eretz Yisrael. Give a donation, and in the merit of the mitzvah, you will see your yeshuah." They pulled out their wallets and gave him donations, and Rav Galinsky blessed them that they would all get engaged within the year. The next morning he felt bad about taking money for what might turn out to be an empty promise. But the bachurim refused to take it back. "Then I'll hold on to it and if one of you doesn't get engaged within the year, I'll give you all back your money." Now he had received the news that the last of the five bachurim had gotten engaged. A Purim miracle! ******************* In Novardok, Purim was greater than Yom Kippur. On Yom Kippur one receives atonement for sins of the past; on Purim one is fortified for the future. On Yom Kippur one is inspired by the tefillos; on Purim, we create the tefillos. On Yom Kippur, we say vidui; on Purim, we read the megillah — a repository of lessons and inspiration. Now, in his unique, penetrating style — with stories and parables, lessons and maxims, pesukim and ma'amarei Chazal — Rav Yaakov Galinsky brings Megillas Esther alive. As you unearth this magnificent treasure-trove of stories and real-life lessons, Rav Galinsky's derashos will transform you and your understanding of the Purim miracle. The V'Higadeta Moadim series is also available in a 4 volume boxed set [comment]: # (Generated by Hostinger Tools Plugin)
